How do you feel about Seattle and would you recommend moving here? Considering from DC - primarily for family reasons, although my family isn’t in WA, but it’s the closest American city to them in western Canada. I’ve lived in DC, Boston, NY for a decade, and appreciate good transit, walkability, great and diverse restaurants, etc. I’m fearful that I won’t like Seattle because it’s car-dependent, a bit more homogenous, etc. I love the mountains and outdoor activities but not in winter (cont’d)
Evergreen
Fellow DC person. There is nothing here that will compare to Cava 🥲
Evergreen but it’s mid compared to sweetgreens imo— do wish there were more types of these places tho!!
Same!
Homegrown is great! Lots of salads/grain bowls.
Love Homegrown. I second this one.
Ahh I miss sweetgreen, hate to disappoint but the food scene is nowhere near as great as DC 😥 Evergreen is pretty good though
Pret
What neighborhood are you in ? I started cooking much more since being here, and I didn’t consider myself one to get a lot of take out
Homegrown and Evergreen are both solid reccs, thanks!
Evergreen>Sweetgreen
I miss CAVA! Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean options out here are pretty weak. Mamnouns makes a decent falafel, but not as healthy as CAVA.
