Dear fish - has anyone bought TQQQ (leveraged tech ETF) as a buy and hold strategy aka for long term investment, or is it more attractive for active investors?

I saw a post a while ago about about someone here who had bought and held about $100k over the past 5 years split between TQQQ and the equivalent 3x small cap one I believe. Absolutely wrecked it with 250% returns but some of the draw downs (70%+ in March) would make most people shit themselves. That combined with the fees being much higher than their unlevered equivalent is why few people buy and hold these long term

All levered etfs are not designed for long term investors and have inherent decay. Detailed in required disclosures in their prospectus.

When I ask my manager for advice about how to do something, he usually just tells me I'll "figure it out yourself." But when it comes down to it, he doesn't help me at all by doing that—he just makes me feel like an idiot. And then when I do figure it out myself and bring the answer back to him, he won't even look at it! He'll just say something like "Oh yeah, thank you," and give me another assignment.

Hi all! I have a question about how you’d handle something at work…
I am a PO at work in a start up and I had a large project that I needed help with so I managed to get a friend hired as a contractor on a great day rate.
She has been phenomenal (As I knew she would be!) and has now been offered a full time role, however she’s been offered $70k more than me.
She manages 1 person and I manage 18.
What would you do? Don’t want to let on I know!

I work for a large, legacy technology company that hasn’t been faring so well lately. I have a fantastic manager who cares about my growth, a supportive team, I’m well compensated...but I don’t believe in the product that I have to sell.

Based on stock prices, press, and exec turnover, I don’t know what to do. There are more positives than negatives but it’s hard to be inspired (or confident) much lately. We are a decade behind newer tech companies

2nd year associate here (going into my third). Will have about 114k in student loan debt at the turn of the year. I have roughly 60k in my investment account, 45k in 401k and an adequate balance in my emergency fund. I also contribute to my HSA and will cross the threshold for investing that in January. During 0% on student loans i have been using every spare dine to pay that down. My question is should that continue or should I tone that back and start investing more? Cont’d in comments...

Do you include home equity in your net worth? I think the obvious answer here is “yes”, but how do you track your home’s value? Appraisals by city/county for tax purposes don’t necessarily correlate to market value. Are you using Zillow’s Zestimate? Personal Capital uses Zillow. Just wondering the best way I can pull this metric into some spreadsheets I use to track all of this.
