Can someone please tell how project allocation done for lateral hires in Accenture for Microsoft Azure PaaS? they said this is not project specific interview, you'll in pool after joining and assigned project based on joining time. I heard Accenture has zero bench policy for laterals and famous for layoff. Should I be worried? Please explain.

I agree with OP. A lot of our work is about impression. We have 20-somethings helping senior client executives, who sometimes have years experience of equal to a consultant's age. If you look like a shabby person how is anyone supposed to take you seriously. I don't expect team member to be GQ models, but a properly ironed shirt and pants are must.
@C1 @OP I get not looking homeless, however wrinkles are relative to the viewer. Personally I stay crispy, however I've seen a ton of people who rock a few wrinkles. I'm curious, if the expectation is for your resources to be uber pressed on Monday's (fly-ins), will you allow them to stop at the hotel and iron first - meaning they'd get in a little later?
Calm down homie
Who said I'm a girl?
My manager sent me home because he said my crop top was too short. That's like the whole point of wearing a crop top in the first place.
Crop top to work? 🤔 I love a girl in crop top, it's cute, it's sexy. But at work?
Look, I totally agree that he should be sent back but if it's his first offense, there's no reason to write a bad review for him for this
@PwC3 - I am this kid's mentor; he is tremendously bright and has great potential, but lacks general polish (written, oral and physical). I didn't come down on him hard or anything, just stated the facts and reiterated my expectations. My style is one that is not in any way autocratic - I am the most laid back, friendly SM you will ever cross paths with. He took the feedback like a champ and was back at the office thirty minutes later with the crispest of crisps and fessed up that it was actually the same shirt he wore yesterday, that he fell asleep in, and woke up late. Everyone gets a second (or third) chance...
My manager called me Mr. GQ 🤓
Were your flip flops also too floppy P2?
That's my issue as well @A2. Some of y'all get a LITTLE juice and start messing people's money up lol.
Seriously, damn
To elaborate, this kid's shirt had wrinkles on the actual wrinkles; I am not even sure I could reproduce the travesty that he felt was reasonable to stroll into our client site with.
Insecure much, OP?
OP I'm wearing a wrinkled shirt in honor of you tomorrow 🤓
Tippy top 😂
SC1- I don't think OP meant that if you have a few wrinkles. That's always going to be there. He said "ridiculously wrinkled" shirt. Which I believe is almost like not ironed. Also, I'd avoid wearing shirts that get very easily wrinkled and crumpled within minutes (like linen). Though I personally love linen in summers
@EY1 - 15 year consulting veteran (5 ACN, 5 private, 5 EY) my friend.
OP thanks! At least some people still care. It's hard to accept anything from a manager that decides everyday is casual Friday and that flip flops and ripped jeans are appropriate.
Hahaha P2! Then you should most definitely wear a crop top to the C level meeting at client
