Congrats! Now that you have no heavy financial responsibilities (other than feeding your family), maybe now is the time to stop worrying about the rat race and get a cushy 9-5

like

If you don't need all the money, I'd say get out. Life/family is more important so spend the time with them that you can.

like

Wow debt free even the mortgage. Props! I'm debt free but the mortgage. That loan balance is so high! Lol maybe someday

like

Seems like some of you are implying that he/she will make LESS money leaving PA... "now that you have no heavy financial responsibilities" "if you don't need all the money" ...y'all know that you make MORE money when you leave and get a 9-5 right??

like

Why have kids and ruin all that hahaha

congrats. manager here, If you can keep your same salary at a 9 to 5 then it's prob the best If you want quality of life. i have a couple years until I pay off my mortgage. i will prob stay a year or so after I pay it off and then quit for something else. I will never be a partner so no reason to torture myself.

That's not true all the time. I know many people at the senior manager level who have to take a pay cut to leave PA.

Living in Van. Previously lived in Toronto. Obviously rent prices are high as is cost of living. Generally go out and spend more often living in a city. Boyfriend and I on good salary but not saving much due to the above. Before we move home to our own country, we’d love to spend a year close to Vancouver where rent is cheaper, temptation is less, to save. A commute to Vancouver 1-2 times a month needs to be possible (his job). That can be a flight if it’s not crazy. Thoughts? Recommendations?

Need some suggestions on what to consider and any pitfalls that I should be aware of.

I’m almost one year out of undergrad (econ background) so a lot of the CAIA content is new to me

Any advice on dealing with a particularly critical client? I’m confident in the work I and my partners do. I think we add value and are great at what we do. This morning I woke up to another critical email to my boss with a copy to me. I’m at a loss and now questioning my work and concerned about my job.
