Received a letter from Wells Fargo today. They are offering a refinance of fixed 30 year mortgage at 3.5%. I have no idea how they can do this judging by today’s interest rates. Currently my interest rate is at 4.5%. Judging by Wells Fargo sketchy history, I don’t trust it, however has anyone else gotten this offer?

Hi I am getting 22 LPA but they are offering me BA3 as currently there is no slot. friend who refereed me there is telling you will get to BA4 in 1or 2 years currently slot is not there so offering BA3. Hi! I just graduated college in December and have been working as analyst at a small boutique recruiting firm for less than a year. How do you tow the fine line between sticking up for yourself and not talking back to a partner? I recently (August 2021) took a job in-house in Houston after leaving a firm. My partner lives in LA but freelances so the decision was to take a good in-house job and then he would move to Houston and work remote. Why do partners tell associates to be cost-conscious when billing for certain clients when they can just cut your hours on the back end?

I’m in-house with an opportunity to go back to a big firm. There would be a substantial increase in comp (about $260k all-in currently vs $325k plus bonus potential at the firm). I currently have excellent WLB - that would take a hit at the firm for sure. While the billable requirement would be 1500, the lack of predictability is the biggest drawback, especially with a young family. What would you do??

I switched two years ago from regional real estate/energy to a local small, but established residential real estate practice. While I’ve gained so much practical experience and run my own book here, I want to shift to a non-traditional remote role in real estate but keep getting turned down. I have strong credentials but I’m worried this small firm experience is killing my marketability to large companies.

Anyone know what happens to a two-party shareholder agreement when a third shareholder enters the picture (by a shareholder transfer diluting the original 2 shareholders)? That shareholder agreement is silent on what happens. Now that there are 3 shareholders is it void?

I have practiced law for several years and still struggle with the feast-or-famine nature of my practice. (Sudden rush of client outreach, many emergencies, then … nothing). A famine week might be 3-4 billable hours/day. My practice area does not have a predictable annual cycle, like “year end” or “tax day.” Any tips from other attorneys for how to recognize, predict, and/or even out these periods?
