Blaming the leaders not the DEI hires. How can DEI people address the issue with out leadership accountability? The leaders have to do the hard work to foster and facilitate the change we want to see. The problems that need to be addressed can be solved if agency leaders are willing to do the hard work. DEI hires can only do so much.

So many agencies are broken and white as fuck though, you have to start somewhere. But I agree it needs to be top-down and bottom-up

Just a shout-out to all the LGBTQ+ consultants who are not in heteronormative relationships. Every time I read threads here wherein folks assume that someone posting about a wife or girlfriend is a man, or someone with a husband is a woman, I feel invisible. This also happens to me at work - colleagues and clients incorrectly assume the gender of my spouse. Please remember that there are men married to men, women married to women, and same-gender couples with kids. We exist!

I’m in a pickle. Currently working in multistate tax and I am not a fan. I just accepted a position with KPMG on their methods team (it sounds like interesting work and I’m sick of compliance). I put in my notice and my Deloitte manager is trying to fight for me. He wants to match the pay they are offering and get me into a group that I like more. I am a ball of anxiety.
