Location for both?

148k for manager in Deloitte is good. Ask about GC

Location is Phoenix no traveling since it’s Audit Assurance amex role is Senior Engineer role Deloitte it’s Manager role. Amex I’m currently working. I’m on H1B.

Only you can decide what’s best for you. A lot goes into this decision aside just money. Is there an opportunity for you to negotiate with Amex for some additional money? If they cannot go up on base may be some one time cash? I did not work for Amex but in Consulting you will over work and work. Also, 401k etc at consulting is useless unless you work for the firm Atleast 5 years due to vesting. Also, compare health plans etc.. consulting firms benefits are some of the worst in the industry. They are designed to benefit the firms but not the employee. Industry is way better interms of benefit packages. I got an opportunity to work with a Private Equity firm in NYC last month after 2 months of interview process. Comp change from $135k to $165k but I decided to decline considering various other factors aside comp. just follow what your heart and mind says.

Thanks appreciate your inputs

If you want money then D else go for Amex. Assuming u have I -140 it should be ok. But their immigration is not good and it would take 2 years to initiate GC. Also it’s a constant rat race on proving urself and worrying about utilization. Not sure how Audit works but in consulting it’s like that. Benefits r great as long as u r able to use it.

Thanks my i40 is already in approved state in AMEX

Hello, I am 36 and have over 250k in savings. I started saving late (at 32) as I didn’t make much and lived in NYC. I used to be on a visa and had little to say on my salary negotiations. Upon getting my green card, my salary doubled when I changed jobs and I started saving extensively. Today I make around 180k a year and am able to save $4.5k a month and 7% towards 401k. I have no kids and I am looking to maximize savings. Any advice? Thanks!
