Deloitte ARA or EY FAAS? Both are Senior job titles in the DC area and I worked in audit previously. Would appreciate any inputs on which has better growth prospects/opportunities and how is the WLB?

I don’t know about Deloitte but I’m in FAAS (TAAG specifically). The hours aren’t insane and we have unlimited vacation time.

Just found out my raise for the year and it’s an increase of 5.6%. It is the raise I would’ve received last year, but then that was halted due to covid and no one got raises. I’m the most senior associate and have been told I’m on partner track, but I think the raise should’ve been higher and am pissed, but I’m also grateful to still have a job with covid. What raises have you gotten and how has covid impacted your compensation? I’m in a mid size insurance defense firm in the PNW.

*ADVICE NEEDED* I wasn’t paid my full pay last pay period (2 weeks ago) & have been told when I might see it but haven’t gotten so much as an email & it’s not breaking the bank but I’m frustrated by the lack of communication around it & the fact that I’ve had to chase it down. I’ve cc’d my boss yesterday & followed up this morning but don’t want to be a pain. Do you think it’s ok for me to now be persistent? We get paid tomorrow btw. TYIA.

Has anyone interviewed for IRS SBSE (small business self employment) in Southern California-Specifically San Bernardino and Orange County? I interviewed with them in end of October 2020 and has not heard back. I followed up with my interviewer. Interviewer said he has no idea on the timeline; if selected, HR personal will contact me. I went to the federal soup; it appears that someone from other cities have already got the offer. Wondering if I will get a “ not selected” email.

I am currently at the end stage of interviews and waiting on a decision from a company if an offer is extended. I reached out to the recruiter on Tuesday asking when I should expect a notification, and was informed Friday. I followed up once more today (Friday), and they stated for me to reach out to them on Monday about the position as they need more time. It sounds like I should cut my losses, but any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I got an offer as financial analyst in Seattle for $86k base (with stock comp & bonus, annual might end up being $100k) - is this a good offer...? I’m trying to switch over from tax accounting senior with $113k salary right now (HCOL city) so the base salary drop is pretty large... I think I should negotiate a higher base salary, but want to get people’s thoughts on whether the initial offer is reasonable. Thank you :)

Would 7 years public experience (mostly tax some audit) leaving mid size firm get me a decent shot w a private personal services company as a senior financial analyst? Description is just forecasting, modeling, kpis, reporting, monitoring. Accounting background and degree preferred so as a CPA, on paper I’m overqualified. Already really strong w Excel. It doesn’t sound overly complicated just wondering what that might be like to transition if anyone has made a similar move.
