Deloitte ARA presents like technical accounting Bc they lie. It’s literally only SOX work

Is this throughout the US, or only particular regions?

I know we all love the work from home (or do we?) but does anyone actually miss traveling for their consulting engagements and all the fun that goes along with it? The late nights at the office then the bar and random hookups and excitement and all that? Sure it’s a grind but I think I actually miss it too. Maybe I just miss seeing people at work or seeing people at all. I wonder if we’ll ever get back to that.

I recently transitioned to wfh full-time, in house. Amazing gig - I’m not complaining - but I literally never have to wear suits or anything fancy. Coworkers wear t-shirts, rarely blouses. My background is litigation, so I’m used to wearing sweaters, cardigans, suits, dresses. I don’t want to be the only one wearing business casual outfits but I can’t bring myself to wear a tank top/t-shirt and sweats/leggings every day. Advice for what to wear to wfh now that I’m just dressing for me? (Cont.)

What are the range of salaries for a Sr. Buyer who does the contract during the Procurement process? Remote so any range would help. I feel I'm being underpaid, and would like to see what some of the salaries are. Thanks, Mike

Started a new gig over a month ago and was very excited to work with my new partner but they haven’t been too welcoming, projects have not been collaborative (just me doing it and emailing it to them), they don’t really reply to my messages about work (started remote) and doesn’t really reply to any creative inspiration that I send to break ice. Not sure why there’s been zero effort on their end? Kind of bummed. Anyone else been there?

Does anyone have a SO who doesn’t quite get the whole remote work thing? My SO sees nice weather outside and wants to leave in the middle of the day to grill or get outside, and gets frustrated when I say I need to stay on the computer. I don’t have crazy amounts of work, but I do have a manager who needs to know the hours I work every day. Does anyone else have a partner like this? If so, what do you tell them?

Any other staff feeling like they might try to leave audit earlier than they planned to? Love my firm, but WFH is brutal and the people I’ve formed connections with have mostly left or WFH 99% of the time which leads to less social interaction with them. I figured I’d stick it out for 3 years or so, but with another busy season looming in a few months I’ve started looking at other roles through my network, and wasn’t sure if I was the only one.

Hey guys. I have a soon to be nonprofit church struggling because they already started services (collecting offerings too against my advice) before things were set with an EIN and they gave an event already planned out and are trying to find a way to spend and collect before the things are in order. They want to know if one of their small business owners can expense and collect then consider it a donation. Is this possible? Any advice or loopholes that are Legal and will avoid issues later on?

I’m a tech consultant working in the SAP practice. I’m a second year associate. I have decided that I don’t like the culture of consulting - work more hours, always add more work and responsibility to your plate, etc. I would like to work a job that is more 9-5 that doesn’t expect you to work in so many different things at once.
