What would you do? Option 1 - mgr of fin. Rep, supposedly opportunities to open up for Dir level once Company goes public through a SPAC, good work-life balance near term, Company will be making decision any day. Option 2 - dir. of fin. Rep, company already went public through SPAC, building out acctg dept, some issues to fix. Longer hours in near term, expected to be invited in round 2 of intrviews. If you had an offer from company 1 and still waiting on Company 2, if you had offer from Co 2?

Hi all, I’m wrapping up my first year in audit and am looking to a potential exit in sales - I have my CPA exams passed but don’t have the 1 year experience quite yet. I have a final round interview for an entry level SaaS sales role with a first year base of ~75k and 20-30k in commissions assuming I meet my targets. I have a feeling if I secure the position, I won’t be able to delay the start date before I hit my 1 year experience mark. I want the credential but don’t want to pass this up.

For everyone that says you should expect a 20-30% pay bump when you leave public for private, do you mean all-in? Including bonus? Just managing expectations as I go through the interview process. Thanks in advance!

Let’s say you don’t end up as CFO for fortune 100 company but make it to Director/Senior Director, the career earnings of Partner still beat the Director/Senior Director over the lifetime till retirement at 60 right?

Or am I missing the boat and those RSU’s add up at the director/sr. Director level? I just feel like most salaries in finance/accounting cap out at like 200-250k base which if compared to the partner, they could be bringing in close to $1M in VHCOL like Bay Area no?
