D2 stop bragging please. Had a 1 year 1 - 136 % utilization. Zero firm stuff

like

First year 2. 90%. 2 good firm initiatives (not recruiting or happy hours). 3 applause awards. Had a few partners call my counselor.

like

1st year 1, 105 utilization and got lucky on a high impact PRD 2nd year 1, 110 utilization and became a lead on said PRD. I'd have to disagree that applause awards or special recognition don't matter. It just depends on how you tell the story. I've been on a bunch of one off shorter projects and received applause awards or the special recognition award things for most of them which helps at year end to stand out when everyone else is a solid 2 with similar metrics

like

Turned into a real pissing contest with your utilization. Get over it. You both exceeeded goals and were recognized for it. Was the 1 vs 2 really worth it? Probably missed out on some real life.

like

First, applause awards don't matter I got a 1 my first year with 112% utilization 45 initiative hours, no PRD Next year I got a 2 with 101% utilization, 85 initiative hours, no PRD I think my client work was the reason for my rating. Amazing performer my first year, just really good the second year

like

Experienced hire here, hit my first YE 4 months into the firm. 2, with no PRD or firm initiatives, 85% until. Killed it on my project

like

^youre right, I shouldn't have responded. And no it was not worth it. I wasn't really given the choice to work that much

like

D2, are you talking about client or adj utilization? 112% is really high...

like

It was 112% (not adjusted) with a short year (started in July) and lost 3 weeks to new hire training. Could have been higher

like

1 rated, 113% utilization, and 1 firm initiative but pretty high in hours for firm initiative as well

like

Got a 2 my 2nd year, 82% util, 150ish PRD hours (nothing super important tho)

like

I'm here in fed getting all sorts of praise for my 95% util

like

I'm getting the feeling that firm initiative is one of those lies they feed consultants so that stuff gets done, but which doesn't count for anything.

Do September college hires ever usually get 1s or 2s?

Since counselor can't propose ratings this year, not sure how things will go

What level? Level matters. A lot.

Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. I felt I was designated as the scape goat. Continued.

Hi y’all. So I haven’t technically onboarded for my firm yet, I’m suppose to start in 3 weeks. One of the projects I’m going to be put on requested to have a little interview with people of the team so I had mine today. The “interviewer” didn’t really seem to think I was qualified for this project at the end of the conversation (agree to disagree with him on that). Regardless, am I in trouble for not fitting his criteria/selling myself enough…kinda worried on my manager’s response….

Is vaccine discrimination lurking at Kearney MEA? The company said that it won't be mandating vaccines. But a recent email from HR asked for every employee's vaccination status. Should unvaccinated consultants fear discrimination (can't travel, won't be staffed, will have low utilization, will be at risk)? Honest question for an open debate

I have two contract offers: One is about Data Management/Quality project for 6 months, the pay is 5000£ per month, the other is product data scientist for an early stage startup based in San Francisco for 4 months, the pay is a lot lot less (less than 1000£ per month). Tbh, I am not a big fan of data management, and I totally see myself doing product analytics which is becoming a hot skill in DS field. Is it stupid to turn down the first offer and accept the second one? I would love some advice
