Is it against HR policy for me to mention the salary range of others I know who are working at the job I’m interested in? Without mentioning names
Happy long weekend! I didn't know there's such thing that people ask for likes to be able to DM until now. ISO remote data science in Canada with 5 yoe in public health analytics uses SAS SQL and Tableau, naturally good at spotting problems and optimizing things I work on, a bit of python background but can pick up really quick. Possess common sense (lol), knows when to ask great qs. Comment or DM if you have something that might be for me; if nothing, like my AI drawing to help! ;) Cheers
Do I have any options here. Took on a new job- asked hiring manager and hr multiple times to confirm my new hours they said 830-5 and occasional late fri check out which was like once a month. I’m now doing multiple calls outside of that, and for April- may I need to do hk/India daily stand ups and my vp told me the only time that works for both is 11 pm or 4 am. Daily. Can I quit and fight to get unemployment for being fired . This has become a my health issue.

Does anyone have expertise in how risk is calculated and measured by corporates before they engage their insurance broker?
Hi everyone! I have a question about annual reviews/raises - what (if anything) should I expect as an annual raise increase, if I were offered one? My last agency only gave “raises” with promotions (and they were significant), so I don’t know how to evaluate/negotiate the raise that could be offered if it’s low (like 2-5%). Not ready to accept a bigger role promotion but do feel like my contributions this year warrant a raise… thanks for any insight!
I’ve been verbally offered a position at a new company, but the recruiter insists on getting a verbal acceptance before sending the offer in writing. This person insists on negotiating salary before sending the paperwork. Generic benefits, RSUs, bonus info have been provided; it’s all unofficial.
This is absurd. Am I missing some “new way” of doing things? Your take?
I’ve been involved in the building and growth of a small family business for the past 4 years, growing internally as the company continues to scale. I’ve been promised over the years a more defined leadership role with equity, but only promises. Recently, I’ve been offered a job at an analytics company with over 8000+ employees with a pay raise and substantial career growth. Any advise???
If I am not planning to take any distributions until retirement and maintain a separate emergency fund, are there any reasons to go Roth before 401k?
I was offered a partnership at a small firm I used to work at before my current also small firm. We had come to terms and I expected to inform my current firm. To my surprise, my current firm made me a significant offer to stay. Not a partnership, but making more money and better benefits. I’m torn because the other firm is under the impression I’m coming in as a partner. But I can’t turn away from the significant offer I have from my current firm, where I enjoy working. Any advice/thoughts?
I left Advisory as an SC but came in as a Consultant (equivalent to an Advisory SC) at another B4 consultancy. What’s the best way to show this was a lateral and not a demotion, there was a salary increase as well.

Currently a tax S2 at a Big 4 firm and up for manager this coming year. I’m considered a high performer and am at the top salary level for my position. However, I’ve grown more and more tired every busy season and am longing to have more work life balance. Been contemplating leaving for a family office or industry. Has anyone left and regretted it?
