New accord would beat the testarossa around the track (assuming the Ferrari can complete a lap)
When I was at Deloitte Digital more than half our work was slinging SalesForce implementations. Granted things may have changed, but I suspect there is still a fair amount of implementation work (please correct me if I'm wrong). There were always those random projects where we'd help design a cool app, but your average consultant rarely got pulled into those (it was mostly the studio folks who would drive that)
At BCG you'll be focused on more of the front end strategic element, but won't go as deep into building the actual content. You might do a rough POC / MVP, but you likely won't be there over the long term to oversee implementation and deployment.
Disclaimer: I left DD about 4-5 years ago, so it could very well have evolved since then
What are you looking for? If you're looking for the imaginary concept of prestige, then go with BCG. If you're looking for a robust pipeline and a more mature org, go Deloitte hands down.
Comp at BCG will likely be higher, but they're a more immature org without the robustness, capabilities, and market eminence that Deloitte has in that space.
I mean, consultant is the second most junior role at BCG...
If you're not at the senior manager / partner level, then switching from Deloitte to BCG should be a no brainer
DD is ahead in terms of maturity, but BCG has brand prestige
I’ve known of a few DD folks who left for McK or BCG but interestingly didn’t stay/last there long. They are at other firms now. These are solid people whom I have professional respect for. If you’re looking for a resume branding only, both firms will be equal. Project pipeline will be better at Deloitte given this type of work is Deloitte’s bread and butter. MBB’s are still experimenting with digital and there are cultural and maturity battles still being fought.

I’m at Deloitte. BCG hands down
No, I haven’t worked at BCG ever, or at a digital practice ever, but the brand and compensation alone make up for any differences in the day to day. Even if you dislike your time at BCG, you can always switch later. The opposite may not be the case.
I am appalled at the comments by a few folks who are asking you to stay at DD. It’s an absolute no brainer to go to BCG. If you want to move out then likes of Google / AWS/ FB or interesting roles at Wayfair will entertain you. These companies won’t even look at you resume with DD brand. Don’t get swayed staying at DD - you will regret not adding BCG to your resume in the long run.
Definitely BCG

Umm BCG.
Are we looking at only brand and prestige? They seem to be way behind on everything DD does

You are already at Deloitte Digital so I would go for BCG Digital.
Hmm, Deloitte 🙂 ... more breadth and depth of expertise and offerings
I was offered a role a few years back at BCG and similar role and McK Digital to help them start up their Adobe practice and though it seemed like an exciting challenge, it just felt like a lot of work to try to get to parity with other digital firms and you will likely never have the brand permission to do the work for quite sometime so I decided to turn it down
