I would not worry about layoffs. It’s really not too hard to find a new job. I think the difficult part is having an answer to the interview question “why are you leaving”. But if you treat that question as “what are you looking for in your next role”. I’m sure you could find a way to avoid explaining you were fired without lying. Not every company asks for references from my experience too.

They’re not gonna lay off someone new, especially if they just paid a premium to get you
Rising Star
Sometimes^ but if you just threw someone a 25k signing bonus because you really wanted them and they’re locked in with a clawback you’d rather let low performers go first regardless of tenure.
This isn't real.
A PPMD?
They got higher quality and hardworking employees from developing countries at cheaper cost and thus plan to lay off overcompensated underperformers. Maybe?

Monitor Deloitte is hardly representative of Deloitte as a whole lol.
Are the layoffs true?
Where are you getting this info from
Just got hired, so hope NO!
Hire like crazy when things look promising and fire like crazy when things look cloudy is the way of corporate life in US. One simply can’t think about these and be worried. It’s not something we can control so why worry.
Would not be totally caught off guard if they did. Macro looking iffy
Rubbish
Stop scaring people.
This is irresponsible. Even during The pandemic the people let go were low performers. They may have been called layoffs to soften the blow but folks they were not good.
The person that got laid off in my team was someone that just got promoted to SM.
