Deloitte first day orientation dress code says business casual. I’m thinking button-up, slacks and a blazer...too much? Should I go suit, no tie?

@Op that’s perfect

What level are you hired at? Don’t suit up. Blazer would be ok

like

Button up and slacks would be perfect.

like

They will take your badge pic, so if you want to be suited in that pic then maybe have the tie on for it and lose it after.
The second day just go business casual, wear comfortable as it is going to be two days of death by PowerPoint.

like

Curious also

No point in suiting up unless you want to. As for badge photos, you’re allowed to submit a professional headshot anyway, not taken with their crappy camera.

Wear Deloitte casual. Suit with no tie

Is it ok to ghost someone? I’ve been talking to someone for over a year. I stopped texting him two weeks ago because I lost feelings and said I need space. He said ok and that he’d wait for me to reach out. I have no desire to reach out and would rather go on my way. At the same time, I feel like I should talk to him for closure - he deserves that. Am I horrible for leaning towards just leaving it as is? 🤷🏽‍♀️

At my 1st industry job. Another analyst starting the same time as I is annoying the heck out of me. He never shares information, and always just repeats what I said in group messages, emails, zoom meetings (and prompts me to go first). He even stalks my calendar and compares the schedule overlap with our manager’s to figure out my meetings and schedule🙃. He also pushed me under the bus (he didn’t do a task even though i reminded him, yet he said I didn’t do it either together). Just here to vent

What are the laws / regulations around a firm taking away OT pay due to C-19, but still making you work the same hours. This is impacting 20-30% of mine / classmates gross pay, and we agreed the we wouldn’t have accepted the job at the current base without this benefit. Is it legal to take away OT if it’s clearly stated in our contracts & was an expectation? We don’t receive any bonuses / additional compensation so this really impacts living standard / life style.

Hi folks! i’m in the market to buy a pair of sweatpants for myself (male) and looking for some recommendations. There are so many options out there and was hoping to get some advice.

My criteria:
1. Light weight
2. preferably cotton or polyester mix.
3. slightly fitted but not too tight
4. less than $100

I live in SoCal and like wearing sweatpants that balance comfort + style.

what I’ve tried so far and didnt like:
Mack Weldon (too tight), old navy and Uniqlo (too heavy).

Thank you!!

Alright everyone - I need a movie education. I haven’t seen a lot of the classics (e.g. Terminator, Jurassic Park, Top Gun, Die Hard, etc) and am starting to make my way through them, but want to know what else should be on my list? I’m not into horror/gore, but would love recs for any other classic action, drama, comedy, or classic classic movies (Cary Grant, the Hepburns, Astaire, etc) that every person should see. Gimme your best!
