US immigration question. Green card interview date was cancelled in March 2020. It’s been a whole year of just waiting for a reschedule date, so the I-485 is transferable (e.g. to another state, another employer). Has anyone transferred their i-485 to another employer? What was that process like? Would my process start from the interview phase? How did you prove that the next job was in the same category? Has anyone recently gotten a NIE approved? If so, did you file it before leaving the US? The Embassy I am looking at says it may take up to 35 business days before they make a decision and requires to send the application after leaving the US.
