I recently took a new job and was told the role was a support engineer to interface between a large customer and internal developers for various company products. I have been here for a few months and I've been finding out that my real job is going to involve long protracted INTERNAL battles because the client is trying to hold us to regulations that were written 7, almost 8 years ago and the company hasn't put work (continued)

I am traveling to a Latin America country for a week and realized my cell phone provider does not have an option for international service there 🤦♀️ Obviously I could use wi-fi calling options but I’d like to be able to use my phone anytime for calls or texts at a minimum in case of emergency. Does anyone know the best option for this? How could I get a “local” sim for this country? Is any option going to be too much hassle or expense? Help!

I have received an offer from Deloitte for ‘Project Delivery Senior Anlyst’ position on some technology preferred provider program. It is hire in advance , that means I should get project ‘after joining’. I have heard PDM is like contract worker, you can get laid off once project ends(just 2 weeks bench). How true is that/how risky it is to join PDM?(considering I am in US on H1B) 2 . How much time it takes to get first project? I am confused because it’s really better salary than what I make.

The worst past about being a senior associate is I have the responsibilities of a partner but also still get associate tasks. For example, I have a two-week jury trial coming up with damages in the mid 7-figures yet I’m still being given tedious discovery and answers to prepare on partner’s cases when I don’t have any time, at the expense of my own cases.
