Deloitte 🐟: if you have an AT&T plan, can you turn on data while abroad on PTO? Is it a significant cost or is it not that bad? I've used my phone abroad for calls and texts w/o charge in the past...

You can do the International Day Pass- charges $10/day when used and it's your regular plan as if you were in America. If you don't use it one day, it doesn't charge you for that day.

like

It's $25/gb. I've never used more than 2 gb

like

It's cheap-def less than what A1 said but I can't remember how much (D1 for some reason I think it's not that but I dunno).

I am 100% certain that is the price for our AT&T plan. I've done this 5 times in past year, including last month, which I just got the bill for.

Did you just expense it with your phone bill or did you clear the expense as personal?

I just clear that amount as personal and pay back Amex myself for it.

Hi everyone! How did you discuss with your boss all the time you’d be needing to take off for appointments? My boss absolutely hates when people take time off. Company policy is at least a week ahead of time - she says she needs at least 2. Also when someone requests off a couple days in March then a couple days in April for example, she gets annoyed and says they are requesting too much time (even if they have plenty of PTO available).

I gave notice to one of the partners at my small firm last week. It was amicable, but she told me to wait to tell the other partner until he returned from vacation. In the interim, she told the other partner and he blew up. He is now making insane demands and threatening to call my future employer if i don’t meet them. Most problematically, he refuses to meet with me to discuss transitioning my cases over the next week. I am not sure what to do, and I am worried about ethical rules.

I am so beyond ready to leave my current job, but can’t yet, since bonuses are paid out in January. 😬

In the meantime, I’ve applied to a lot of similar roles (slightly higher) but have not heard - good or bad - from any. Is it common for companies to slow down hiring in December because of Q4 rush, people on holiday, etc.?

My company is looking for a way to coordinate travel plans so that one person isn't arriving at one of our international offices one week and then someone else goes to the same office the following week.
Interested to hear how others coordinate travel in this way that would allow people to plan their trips together. Do you use any software, app, shared document?

Anyone know how/where I can get discounts on Kartell products?

I’ve always gotten the advice that when you want to switch jobs you should take interviews from places you’re not actually interested in, so you can understand your value in the market and have better negotiating power.

I’m doing that rn - took a couple interviews to gauge my skills, my market value, and see what I need to work on for interviews that I actually care about.

However, I feel really guilty about wasting their time and going all the way knowing I’ll just say no at the end. Wwyd?
