A word to recruiters out there: I got an email today letting me know a company passed on me, and even though it was clearly an automated email, the gratitude I felt for that simple act of decency overwhelmed me. That's how far your profession has sunk. Every candidate you ghost, especially after talking to them excitedly about a position, is a candidate who walks away from the experience thinking you and the company you represent are absolute trash. Please do better.

I'm thinking of having 2020-2021 school year be my last year for teaching.
