Take the new role, and if AWS works out, reneg and roll out. At will employment cuts two ways

What company is this? Share more details so you can get a better informed decision.

The offer is with SAIC

Good problem to have… can you ask AWS recruiter to speed up?

respond. Unless you signed a contract you are at will and can quit at any time.

Curious as to the role / which part of SAIC; can you share?

Did you not get the marker adjustment last week? I45k is a joke

I have a brief resume gap from near the beginning of covid but have been at a new employer for >1 year. I’ve been asked about said gap during in-house interviews, but it’s generally been cursory and I give the explanation agreed upon by former employer. Was pressed a bit harder recently by being asked “will x former employer confirm [the story]?” Is this in and of itself a bad sign? Are they trying to catch a lie?

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.

I feel I am pretty ready for the RRK (I hope) as I have around 3-4 years of hands on engineering/analyst/consulting experience with AWS/Azure/GCP. But I have never had to do a case study before Other than the Jeff Sipe recommendations, anything else anyone recommends I believe this might be a for generalist TAM probably l4/l5 (I have 5.5 YOE)
