Just out of curiosity, what is your rationale for considering internal roles? I ask because I'm also evaluating switching to either an internal role or to the specialist track, to avoid the "up or out" model of core, (do not want to be an SM for work / life balance) I've been speaking to people who switched to both, and am starting to lean towards the specialist track option, as salary / bonuses remain the same, and internal roles may not be as "lower" stress as you'd hope. But asking for any insights you've heard! Weighing all options :)
Really depends on team and role in terms of salary and WLB.

Omg so many open roles on my team. DM me when you’re close to coming back
DM me about some open internal roles I’m aware of. You can have exploratory conversations but have to tell your coach to formally apply / interview.

Go to the internal job board. Network with folks in internal roles that are similar to what you want to do.

Depends on the role and current pay. If you are moving to a CoS type role, typically no pay change. If it’s to something like a recruiter, then there is a pay change.
