At my wits end with the CPA and missing manager promotion because of it. Anything I can do in PA without it or is it time to leave?

Current pay $72K, 11% increase 6 months ago. Should I ask for a huge raise again because based on research I should be between $84K to $92K? I'm a Senior. TIA

How do you know if you are being considered for promotion to senior or not?

Would you accept an offer from a direct competitor for a 20% bump & promotion from analyst to associate manager if that role was a 12 month contract? (assuming it’s a T2 in tech ae. Salesforce, Adobe, etc)

Just started a job at a Fortune 50’s Corporate Strategy group 3 months ago. Now another Corporate strategy group is contacting me for a Manager position. Which is more money and a promotion. Would I be bad to leave if I get the offer? I like the current team and only have 3YOE. Previously at Big 4 non strategy.

Opportunity to join 2 other people planning to raise a $50M fund. They have a track record of 10+ years and I’d be joining as a a partner overseeing investments, operations, reporting etc. Goal is to invest fund in 2 years and then raise $200M fund.

What comp do you think is appropriate? And what % of carry?

It happens every year without fail: students asking me at the last minute how they can raise their grade or do extra credit. I try to explain that their grade can only reflect their performance on the original assignments to show mastery of certain skills so you can't make it up, yet parents and admin are pressuring me to cave. How else can I explain it?

I left KPMG after 7 years after being passed over for Director promotion. I left to start a medical business. 3 months in, my partner and I grossed $130K in sales w/ a 60% margin. Consulting prepared us for this and I’m forever grateful for my experience. I’m honestly amazed at how well consulting skills translate to entrepreneurship. I’m sharing this to encourage anyone who’s been on the fence about starting their own thing. Go for it. Consulting will always be there if you need to fall back.

I recently, finally got the offer letter for a promotion I was offered nearly a year ago.

I was really disappointed with the salary. I had done some high level market analysis, showing I was underpaid for my previous role. My boss explained that HR really decides salary ranges. She made a comment while presenting me the offer that my current salary was taken into consideration. I was taken aback. Is that common/normal? My new title didn’t exist at the company before.

currently working in house as social media manager. i’m still a relatively new hire (less than 6 months), but really have hit the ground running and have made some serious progress in the company. recently my brand acquired another business and they are now asking me to manage both social and content needs. it’s definitely something i can take on but it’s still a challenge. is it appropriate to ask for a raise? should i wait a couple months in to managing the new brand to see how it goes? help!

I received a good raise and early promotion and at the same time got an offer from Bigfour for the same level but with much bigger jump. Should I take it? Here are my considerations:
-I love the work environment at my office
-It feels as I am betraying the partners who advocated for early promotion
-I have very good rapport and goodwill with all the partners in the office which will help me on my Path to Partner.
Will trying to get BDO to match my offer, hurt my goodwill with partners if i stay
