The lack of transparency at a company that is supposed to provide transparency (in the form of auditing other companies) is baffling. IMO, the firm has enjoyed a major turnaround in reputation from being stuffy, stubborn, and presumptuous to innovative, forward-thinking, and (relatively) flexible. Seems to me like the Deloitte dinosaurs weren't happy with the shift in culture and decided to try to reverse course. This should be interesting to see how it all plays out and who takes the reins next. I'm not so sure this is going to end well for Deloitte.
It's been on the public domain since earlier this summer. It's not entirely clear what's going on though. Solid growth and Record profits normally is quite good for CEO tenure. Only thing that comes to my mind is a shift from audit to consulting in leadership to reflect the shift in revenues.

It's not completely clear. There's been some chatter about Janet being in the running, which would be interesting.
Honestly given the recent huge focus (at least in tech) on volume without any real concern about quality or the staff, I'm not terribly enthused about any of our leadership, even if individually they're great people. I've heard nothing but great things about Janet, but the practice as a whole is clearly hurting at the lower ranks.
No biggie. Standard infighting amongst the partners in the firm.
I thought you wouldn’t want a Consulting lead at the helm - wouldn’t want them to deal with regulators in Washington
But is a CEO refresh negative by definition? Eg. Australia CEO has recently changed, Cindy Hook led the firm to tremendous success but is moving on to be Asia Pac CEO. She was only in the role for 3 years.
Each CEO has a unique style and leadership agenda - could it simply be time for a change?
