@D1, beats me to know why. I just know that the Tysons office has a much better community vibe. In Rosslyn, they are more concerned about looking like they literally walked out of a fashion magazine shoot
I know. People actively don't say hi to each other. I really don't like the vibe
I think that there are little pods of community, but the general office does not. I am always blown away by how many people actively try to not say hi
I'm from a smaller office of another Big 4, where we did monthly happy hours and had a ton of office events. Is there anything remotely like this in Rosslyn?
Yes but generally held by service line, project team, CoP, level (for analysts and consultants), etc
It's way to big for everyone to join in on one thing
Large offices generally don't
Damn that's big. And we have trouble getting an office of <500 together for happy hour
The studio does!
There is the Rosslyn Office Community thing. U have been based out of the Rosslyn office for close to two years yet was never on their mailing list nor could I figure out how to get on it. I'm now on it. Woohoo!
What do you guys consider a 'big' office?
I think that 6,000 have it as a home office, but about 17 floors are chucked full of D people and we're bursting at the seams
It's 17 floors now? Are we taking the rest of the space when ceb vacates?
10 technically, we have 8-17. I would imagine we will pick up a few more once they leave though
Ah, that's what it was when I left.
I heard that we'll have all of the floors once CEB leaves
Why do you guys think that people aren't friendlier in the office with people who are not on their teams?
What about the Rosetta Stone floor, did they leave?
^They got replaced by snagajob I think
D4- so funny. After a year and a half, I spent $5k to re-do my wardrobe and I live a much easier life in the Rosslyn office as a result
