With market adjustments back in December, this retention bonus in April, regular bonuses to be paid out in May, and comp increases slated for June, surprised to say that Deloitte has really exceeded expectations to keep compensation competitive. Let the bidding war between firms continue to increase salaries.

But I found one thing unusual that I did not have any salary negotiation call neither any hr round.

They released offer letter directly on ibegin portal with 60% hike on my current ctc .

Should I consider this as a fake recruitement.

KPMG, how do you change your 401k elections before your bonus gets paid out? I don't want any of my bonus to go into my 401k

Looking for a friendly discussion here... don’t know if there is a straight forward answer, but why are we allowed to put more in a 401k vs an IRA? They are essentially the same thing (correct me if I’m oversimplifying) with the main difference being 401ks are provided by employers. Do you feel like this could be a contributor to the wealth gap? 401ks are more of the norm at white collar jobs and a lot of companies don’t offer one. Is it fair? Talk to me.
