Hi Noel!

Hide your name in here. It’s supposed to be anonymous. You seem like a hardworking, proactive guy. Life will work out. Trust me.

M1 please give op a break. We were all in his shoes once. I did an online resume drop to Deloitte, checked a box and said, ok I have applied. Needless to say, Deloitte never called me. 👔

Core has better career outcomes right out of school if you are in strategy or a good team. You go to client sites and see how different sectors work. There is no substitute for physically being at the client site early in your career. You deal with some challenging clients and hone your stakeholder management skills and EQ. Digital is also great but it’s less travel and more remote work so not as “immersive.”
We’re a big company so I may just be out of the loop, but I have a hard time imagining what a strategy analyst in USDC would do. USDC is generally meant for people with very specific technical skills, or basic staff aug work, not generalists or folks working on abstract, complex strategy problems. Maybe it’s an offer sponsored by our Strategy & Analytics practice, but your role would likely be much more specific than just “strategy.” Do due diligence to make sure you won’t be pigeonholed.
The roles, work, and career trajectory are different then core. Less hours and travel.

And pay, and trajectory, and lower overall treatment by the firm. If you have other true consulting offers take them instead.
Hi I interned at USDC in 2017 as a summer engineer. I don’t remember the interview process being that rough - 3 rounds back to back and one solely focuses on technical questions. feel free to DM me and I’ll recall what I can for you lol
It’s interesting that the DC has strategy analyst now that’s awesome. I ended up not taking the offer bc I wanted strategy consulting instead coding all day
