Need advice on where to live for a mid 20s couple moving to Colorado from dc area, specifically in the Denver area (although my team is fully remote, so the occasionally office visit isn’t a concern). We like to: ski/snowboard, hike and explore, travel, occasionally go out to cool restaurants.
1. Colorado Springs: visited multiple times. Loved it, inexpensive.
2. Somewhere in Denver? Still less $ than DC area.
3. Suggestions? Thanks!
Us friend married an accountant from Canada a few months ago, but greencard has been held up Bc of bureaucracy and covid issues :( anyone know of accounting jobs in Canada that are fully remote? Temporary jobs (only a few months) OK, since it shouldn't take more than a few months for his greencard to go through
Thanks LTT for the remote week! 😁

Girlfriend and I want to move to Colorado for a couple of Mondays (may/June) this spring to take advantage of remote work. Anyone have any recommendations? We are going there for nature/hiking. Budget is about $3k month for the hotel/airbnb, which effectively rules out aspen & telluride
Any agencies/in-house in LA with remote employees? Currently in the MW and applying out there. Fam situation would prevent an immediate relo but I’d love to see if being remote short-term is possible.
How many people are back in the office vs. WFH? What area and how many employees? Are you seeing clients, doing in person mediations, depos, etc?
Can an Art Director be fully remote?
Is it true? Google going to pay cut for permanent WFH employees? Makes sense but also dangerous trend for the industry. 20% cut on Google paycheck vs 20% cut on Big4 makes all the difference.
Looking to understand where each firm is currently at on return to office and remote work. Can you add current / announced stance and your firm? Thanks!
Anyone have a favorite Mediterranean diet cookbook or website? Trying to shift my eating habits. Going to be remote most of January so thinking this would be a good opportunity to cook!
I recently joined a small consultancy in the Nordics and I've been working on a client project for 2 months now, and it's going crazy, a lot of pressure to deliver by the end of the year.
Before I worked for a big corporation and a start-up, and it was pretty chill. Now with pressure and the WFH, I feel a lot of stress and low self-esteem that actually affect my productivity and outcome.
I'm not a good communicator either.
I think it's clear that consultancy isn't for me ?

Should I buy a house? I am single female, living alone with a dog. I have a fully paid condo. I just pay tax and HOA plus utilities. Housing cost is about 800, no car payment, no other loans also, so I have a good saving that is enough to downplay a 2000 sqf house in my town. Right now with the WFH situation, I really want to buy a house, so that my dog has yard to play. But I will live alone in that house and will not have much saving with the mortgage payment. Is it good idea to buy a house?
Hello folks, has Mindtree started with Return to office or hybrid working model? Can I get longterm wfh even after office starts? Or say 1 week of wfh as per our need with manager's approval? How much is the flexibility in this regard?
Is universal basic income just a cop out from tech companies? It is blowing my mind that we don't have any other ideas to compensate for loss of jobs that also incentivizes productivity.

Any mid-30s ladies taken a break from dating? Turning 35 later this year, freezing eggs in December and just honestly want a break to focus on myself and things I want to achieve but is that a waste of time? I don’t even 100% know if I want kids so I don’t know why I feel like I’m on society’s clock. I feel like I’m dating for the sake of it, not because I want to right now.
Being a woman is terrible sometimes 🤦🏼♀️
Do people still value/appreciate thank you letters? Finished up interviews yesterday, feel good about it and genuinely like the interviewers.
Heyooo… anyone interested in connecting to give me some advice? Thinking about switching to Google for SWE and would like some advice. Thanks!!
6 YOE. 1 year at current firm. Relevant prior trial experience but new to this type of law. Boutique plaintiff PI firm in the Midwest (not major city like Chicago) but well-known statewide. Base is 100k with min 25k year-end bonus (received 35k my first year before taxes). No policy for partnership track. No % of settlement fees. No % of referrals. I’ve only been told that those %s are taken into consideration for year-end bonus. And there’s no transparency on what others make. Thoughts?
Is working at Truist as Financial Risk Management Analyst a good gig? Glassdoor has mixed reviews about Truist. I currently am in FP&A and this seems like a good way to switch into more high finance.
Hello people of San Diego! Would love to hear how y’all are affording to live here comfortably. Please state your company, position, TC, YOE, and do you have a side hustle? I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. I’d like to “make it” here but if it means switching career to make money I’d like to get an idea to make the right job change.
Hi Everyone, I have 4.5 years of experience in Manual Testing.... Can anyone refer me please???
