Deloitte vs Accenture Consulting: which is more prestigious? Which has better WLB? Debating making a move from Deloitte to Accenture but wondering if it’s worth starting over connections-wise

If more money and work in tech then yes. Accenture is the Mecca of tech delivery.

Prestige = D& ACC are somewhat similar, but can vary based on which specific practice within each firm. From my understanding, D strategy is one step higher than ACC Strategy. Some consider it to be at MBB level (but im not entirely sure). Connections = doesn’t matter as long as you leave on a good note. The connections will still be there if you need to boomerang back

Accenture has slightly more innovation. You’ve the opportunity to get ESPP with pretax, which builds equity. Job/WLB is about the same but ACN doesn’t require firm initiative as much. Tech Consulting is all the same at the end of the day; go with the highest bidder!

Accenture ESPP is post tax deduction, not pre.

Prestige depends on what specific area - for business strategy probably D, for Cloud or Tech probably ACN. Having worked at both places, ACN work life balance is bit better- in my opinion this is because there is less pressure to do firm initiatives and they are generally better at staffing correct resources on projects (emphasis on generally lol)
