not at Deloitte anymore but almost anything. very liberal expense policy.

Not at Deloitte but I’m sure they don’t care about anything petty. We only care about high cost high risk items. If you wouldn’t want to explain it to your partner/principle, don’t buy it.

Generally find out the project allocation per day and stay under that (I sometimes charge over if my weekly is low though) and generally nothing that you can bring home and use such as a 6 pack of protein bars. Gotta do 1-2 for whatever you're going to consume that meal/day.

Hello. I have an interview for a company that doesn’t offer maternity leave for employees under a year. I happen to be 5 months pregnant. My job now gives 18 weeks total but this new job is more pay, something I’d be much more passionate about and I’d actually get RSUs for the first time. Have you guys negotiated maternity leave? Have you been pregnant looking for work? When do you tell your employer?

Just returned from my combined family vacation with my SO. I initially thought it would be a great idea to being our parents along to show them a new country and give back for everything they’ve given us in life. Fast forward I’m more exhausted than before the vacation. My mother has been toxic all the way and didn’t miss out on a single opportunity to criticize my relationship. My in-laws were either talking all the time about random stuff or fighting between each other. Continuing…

When did you know that you want to have a kid(s) and what helped you decide to go for it? Not a mom but want to ask people With first hand experience. My BF is sure he wants them and I did too until I did the research on cost of childcare, lifestyle changes, and most importatntly the impact on career (my BF says family stays with you but works don't. I love work for the sense of achievement). Now I am leaning toward childfree. I would really appreciate your thoughts and advice!

Hi, looking for some thoughts. Our son will be 3 next September 2022 and we are enrolling him in pre-school. There is a half- day option till 12:30 and a full day option till 3pm. Is the 3pm program too long for a 3 year old or is he missing out by not being there for a full day? We also have a nanny for our younger child so don’t necessarily need him to be there all day

I’m an attractive 42 year old happily married mother of 4. I’m not drop dead gorgeous but a 8/10. Dads of my kids friends text me to invite my kids to activities and additional sport practices. I’m pretty naive and assume they’re doing it because they like my kids. I don’t want to send the wrong message by accepting. Are they interacting with me because of my kids or because I’m attractive? If I bring my kids to the functions am I sending a message that I’m interested in something else?

First time expecting mom here. I have a very noob / stupid question. So I read that you're not supposed to let the baby sleep alone in his/her room when newborn. So then what is the point of the nursery?! Wouldn't it make more sense to have the crib/bassinet in the parents' bedroom, or have a bed for an adult in the nursery as well? Confused here.

Since October of 2020, I've paid about $880 in "plan administrative fees" to my 401(k) provider as well as the fund expense ratios. It looks like Fidelity does not charge administrative fees on IRA accounts, so that seems to make it a no brainer, plus the investment options are much broader. What am I missing?
