I’ve had Delta clear me based on status (Diamond) even though I had an upgrade certificate tagged to my reservation. Depends on the gate agent. And yes, the certificate was left open for me to use in the future. Has happened many times

I suppose the other option is that Delta looks at what your spot on the UG list would have been without the RUC/GUC and credits it back to your account if you would have been upgraded even without it...but that sounds wayyyyy too altruistic for the greedy Delta I know. I’m guessing it’s some weird systems glitch.

Are they still listed as OPEN in your wallet? Mine usually flip to close if it’s cleared

Yep, both times it has happened this year they are still listed as open in my wallet a full 48 hours after clearing the upgrade.

I let a friendship drift because I was reaching out more than her. I firmly believe relationships should be reciprocated and I was done making all the effort. Now she and her husband are moving and I was invited by someone in our group to their going away party. There’s another intimate gathering beforehand I’m aware of, but wasn’t invited to. If we don’t have a solid friendship now, then I realistically don’t see how we can keep in touch when she moves. Should I go to the party or not?

Anyone work in an open office environment? I actually like going to the office a couple days per week but I'm at a start up-ish and floors are open seating. only a couple of offices that are reserved for execs.

I sounded the horn that I'm not comfortable giving advice in a cube or shared table. nobody really cares since I am able to WFH whenever I want
