Amex Platinum Users - How does “no preset spending limit” get reported to the credit bureaus? Just got approved and 6 months ago my credit was around 580 so this is a huge achievement for me, but I’m also obsessed with maintaining my credit score now. Google has not been helpful; too many answers are no answer. Thank you!
I currently have the CSR card as well as the freedom unlimited. Thinking about downgrading the unlimited to just the freedom to take advantage of the 5% bonus categories. Thoughts?
If I get an AA Advantage credit card for perks like boarding priority (no status here) and free checked bags, do I have to use the credit card to purchase the tickets to get those perks?
Just paid off my credit card debt that totaled a whopping 5-digits worth! ($XX,XXX) Took 7 months of sacrifice and making better life choices. I never wanna be in debt ever again!
Chase so you can. Suuuuuuh dude
Worth it to pay the 550/year for the Amex corporate platinum once travel resumes? Looks like all the point multipliers are stripped compared to the normal platinum so my initial thought is it’s not worth it
I’ve been told by my firm that I need to get a corporate amex card. I’m new to consulting- can I still use my own credit card to get the points and expense that way? If it’s the corporate card can I still get points for it also or does it only go to EYP? Curious to know if a corporate amex is even a good thing or the benefits for it. Thanks!
Business traveler here. I stay at Marriott/SPG hotels. I can’t bill flights so I charge hotels, taxis and food each week. Which is better Amex SPG or Chase Sapphire Preferred for building points?
Can someone please share how easy or difficult it is to get a job with EAD on an H4 visa? Also how difficult is getting the EAD itself? Apologies if it's a naive question. I'm not too familiar with the US visa scene. Asking genuinely for a friend 😀
Can't make a decision between Chase Sapphire Preferred and AMEX Gold. Offer expires today. Help! P.S. Please don't tell me to get CSR instead.
I tend to do a lot of actual work, talk only "cut to the chase" points, and I hate the lengthy useless talking and no structure type of person. Very delivery focused. Will I ever be successful?
If a L1 visa is rejected in one consulate, is it possible to apply in another consulate in a different country?
Trying for opportunities in UK in the financial risk/ quant area. Currently working in the US for big4. However, I am not sure if companies in UK are willing to sponsor candidates in tier 2 / skilled visa category. Can you provide some insights? TIA
After 3 rounds of interviews (total 4 inc recruiter screen) over the past 5 odd weeks, just got told by a T2 consulting firm that they doesn’t sponsor H1B visas which is frustrating because they were aware of my visa situation right at the start. Sigh 😢. Understand it happens but frustrating nonetheless given the time and effort invested.
A Big4 approached me with an opportunity. I am currently working on H-1B. Why would a company request to login to portal and submit all my documents before the interview and offer? I am hesitant and do not want to share my educational documents, passport, visa and pay stubs. Has anyone had a similar experience?Deloitte EY PwC KPMG
Chase Freedom vs Freedom Unlimited for everyday spend? Plan to transfer points to my CSR. Non traveling consultant
Planning to visit India later this year, and also need to get my visa stamped (current stamp expired in 2016). I have an I-797 number from the approved extension, and another one from an amendment...
Folks at MBB in EU/UK are your hours and culture as brutal as US? Heard from my Australian colleagues it can vary quite a bit. Appreciate your responses as I dream to relocate!
Any insights into the global process owner role (finance operations) @google? What should I expect in terms of level and salary? Having first interview soon. M with 12 YOE in ERP projects here.

There must be magic. My flight says we are leaving at 9:00PM and it is 9:07PM! It will be the quickest boarding time ever! Delta has finally optimized their boarding process.
Anyone have experience with lasik/smile recently? Would love to hear thoughts and where you went, along with how much time off from work (if any) you needed afterwards!
United CEO says businessair traffic demand not returning to normal until 2024. What do we think?
I’m looking for warm spring break destinations for the family. Caribbean and Central America seem to be the top choices. Anyone have a great Marriott experience with the family they want to recommend?
Just want to vent… am I the only person who doesn’t want to stay WFH full time forever? Starting my career virtually hasn’t necessarily been bad, I just feel really disconnected from my team and partner. It’s hard to get to know people casually over teams. Living in my 600 sqft apartment with my boyfriend working in the other room is also tough. It feels like my world is smaller. I just feel like I’m sorta missing out on something.
Are there any M7s that are particularly good for breaking into VC? Any non-M7s as well? Looking to break into Healthcare VC if that makes a difference
How bad is driving in the winter in Michigan? I’m looking to take on an 18 months project on the western side and considering staying at East Grand Rapids. My commute each way would be about an hour.
How does one ask for points when things go wrong at the hotel? Today I had to swap rooms because my original room smelled awful after housekeeping cleaned it this morning. Contd..
Does McKinsey early access actually offer any leg up? Or is it more or less irrelevant for internship placements
So is pre-promotion a busy time to jump firms? In case people don’t get promoted, leave immediately?
I’m an Analytics Consultant looking for industry roles as a data analyst/BI Developer. I’ve had a few recruiters and job postings ask directly for a dashboard sample. I obviously can’t give them anything I’ve worked on because of client’s proprietary data and NDAs. Has anyone run into this problem before? Did you end up making a dashboard with public data solely for industry interviews?
Made a project plan based on a previous merger they provided and changed the names to match the current merger. Scheduled meetings on a weekly basis. Took notes in meetings. Never spoke to client. Played video games the rest of the time. Apparently I'm the best consultant ever according the client feedback to ppmd. They also recommended me for promotion to manager for "being extremely diligent and hardworking". Why can't projects/clients like these be the ones that get multiple phases?!!
