Where is the first comment biaaaaatch.
Even though P1 is not but EY2 is a dick, I agree with their comments. Definitely minimize your risk. Once the visa situation is resolved travel wherever you want. EY2, these are make or break life situations for a lot of us and it is fair to get clarity by asking again. If you have a problem then you can start your own bowl titled “99% dick 1% immigrant”.
Bhai/behen ek Baat bata..tujhe amreeca mein par 4th July weekend pe tujhe Europe jaana hai..bada/badi hi ironical banda/ Bandi hai tu
Not trying to be a d**k. But... Perhaps you should be thinking with your advisory/consulting hat on. What would you advise your client? Is it risky? Is it worth taking the risk? Do you have the appetite? What are the implications? If i was faced with your situation, and given that i am risk averse, i would push for premium processing, and i would stay put and travel within the US.
1) My visa is set to expire in September and they just filed it the first week of June. Should I push for premium processing? What happens if they file an RFE towards the end and by the time EY law responds my visa has expired? 2) I was planning to travel during the 4th of July week we have off at EY, but not sure if it’s a good idea to do so with my extension filed. What if it gets rejected or I receive an RFE while I’m out? Also I think Schengen visa requirements is that you have 3 months valid passport and visa to come back. Should I still apply? Has anyone been in a similar boat?
For 1 - definitely premium processing.
You have 240 days legal status after visa expires in case your application for extn is still pending
^ I hope more did this ! We will avoid a lot of redundant posts and talk more about other desi topics ( I mean rest of the 99% minus immigration stuff)
Mine expires in August and they haven’t filed it yet. Are they doing it on a priority basis? Op- did you have to follow up multiple times?
