DM me if you want to chat- I can help regarding the depression issues. Please do not consider any extreme steps - for the sake of your child, and even more so, for your own sake. You are loved and valued, even if you don’t realize it at this time. Hit me up, we can talk.

THERAPY. Please go for the sake of your child.

Therapy and please don’t fall into the “stay in it for the child” mentality. If it’s not working, seek divorce.

Never do suicide. It’s the worst way to die. You have a child. My friend committed suicide when his kid was 3 years old. It impacted everyone. I still become emotional when I think about it after so many years. Try meditation. Start to communicate more with your wife. Take time off and spend time outside with your wife (find caregiver for a day)

If you ever need to talk pls dm me I am in a very similar situation and I appreciate how hard life can be during this time

You know, divorce and shared custody is better than a life where you are contemplating suicide. Your kid is likely to grow up happier when his/her parents are happy - even if you are happy separately. Get therapy, couples therapy, and if they don't work, separate.

I know things might seem dire, dark, and relentless right now.. trust me, you're not alone. There are others who share similar pain and while that does nothing to reduce yours, it might be solace to know that there are those who understand. Ending your life will be exponentially more destructive to your child (and others who love you) than ending your marriage. Please seek professional help. Therapy provides a way for you to voice your concerns and sadness.. it helps. Please take care.

I am getting divorced. I am in a similar situation and probably worse. Message me if you need to talk. I have gone through these emotions and still go through. I will drive to meet you my friend if you are in DMV area. Cheer up. Life is precious. See your son’s face and think about him.

As you can see from the responses above - suicide is never the answer. Please initiate a divorce if you already know that your marriage is beyond repair. Don’t worry about society, child etc. because your happiness is important. I have so many desi friends who are divorced with a child and they are happier now. Feel free to DM

Friend- I am going through something similar. Was in your shoes not too long ago. Feel free to hit any of the folks above or me to chat. I have sought help from the folks in this bowl and they were all amazing!

Similar situation here, I echo others here suicide is not the answer. My spouse wants to separate over trivial issues, have been together for 15 years and have always had issues but kept going. Kid is 11 years old and is being brainwashed. Her folks are encouraging her to move on and my folks are asking me to think about the kid. Dire situation. Hope sanity prevails. Happy to talk if you want to.

Maybe trivial to you but not your wife, have you considered that?

Consider job change to another city or a travel job for few years.

Life is tough with spouse... no one wants to understand the partner

Anyone know if OP is okay? They haven’t responded to the thread so hoping alls okay

OP, are you OK. Please DM me to talk

18 weeks pregnant (1st time) and have always been an active/fit person workingout 5x/wk cardio/treadmill and some weight lifting. I've toned down my workout routine since I found out I'm preg as I got 2 v diff advice from the NP I first saw then the OB/GYN herself. NP warned of exercising as this should not be my priority now (which I agree) he warned from any running/or weight lift (were talking 40-70 lbs). Ob was so flexible about it and said I can maintain my routine as long as not exhausted.

Ever since we had our first child, I have come to realize that I’ve been in an abusive relationship. She verbally abuses me and there were also times where I was physically hurt. Her reactions and emotions are so extreme, she estranged me several times and for several months for the smallest disagreements. I’m thinking to file for a divorce but really feel like giving it sometime to heal over the damage first and then figure out the logistics.

How do you divide your time between your kids? My second is an extra needy and demanding, high spirited kid. My first is laidback and easy going. I always feel like the eldest gets the short end of the stick and never gets enough of my attention even tho she’s always been more attached to me than my husband. She never gets one-on-one time with me as it is since her sister (now 2) is still super glued to my side. Any suggestions for juggling this? Or to ease the mom guilt?
