Do people debate ideas at your agency?
I have an offer of 18 lpa + 1 lakh as JB from CGI. Now I gave an interview in Infosys and asked them 21 lpa + 1 lakh as JB . But the HR from Infosys said that they can give max 19.5 lpa CTC without any JB . What should I do now I know I deserve atleast 22 lpa for my 7 years of experience in Development ( Python , Javascript, Angular ) I don't want to join Infosys with a difference of only 50 k.
Thanks in advance to all who will help me with their expertise Tech Mahindra Infosys .
Very good place to work

Any writers into strategy?!
Where are all the decent copywriters?
AD with new job, for me it was more of the work I wanted to be doing. Having a partner has been an adjustment, the type of work is different of course. It’s more thinking less doing, in my experience. As a designer I was busy with executions, as an AD it’s more concept and 50% execution.
I’m in the middle of making that transition now. Was a designer but got tired of just being a pair of hands. Went to a small portfolio school in LA to get the AD portfolio and connections. If you can make the jump to AD without school go for it. But I came across a lot of push back w/out years of experience or a specific AD concepting portfolio.
I went through that path. I was working as a designer on my first shift and concepting ideas for one of the accounts we had at the agency at night. Then I would present them to the CD's. I got tons of feedback and learn a lot from that. Then I eventually move jobs and become an AD. I don't think you need to go back to a portfolio school. What matters really is how much you want to make it happen. Having design skills under your belt will help you make your ideas look awesome. You might notice they will look nicer than the idea itself and that's fine. It takes time to shape ideas into great ones. Enjoy the ride. It's been a fun one for me.
Following! Currently on my first AD contract (week1) after 5 years of designing (not in advertising). It's weird tho, and I'm not sure it's for me.
