It’s interesting how much we don’t talk about things like this (general covid gruesomeness really), especially with clients. Feels like an elephant in the room. Let’s make “consideration” our bottom line.
I just had to get a Covid test. I’d rather get the shot every week than that swab. I can’t imagine doing weekly testing!
I currently have an autoimmune disease , receive two immunosuppressive drugs , had my vaccine and still have Covid pretty bad . I am thinking of taking a. Leave of absence because I can’t keep getting sick like this . Has anyone else been in similar shoes ?
For those who had COVID and lost your sense of taste, did you lose it completely or were the flavors just less strong?

Why do you feel like this year is so much harder than previous years? This year was supposed to be easier than last year and it’s not 😭 The only reason I can think of is we didn’t have enough time to rest after last year. The only solution I can come up with is giving teachers more time to get things done. What do you think the solutions are to fix this or what has your school already done? My school/district/admin is amazing and they’re wracking their brains to figure it out.
Anyone moving due to COVID? (Permanent or temporary). I’m considering a temporary move out of a Tier 1 city to save some money while things play out. Live at home for a few months, and then move back sometime in 2021. Just checking if anyone else is considering the same
Anyone working on Comirnaty (covid pfizer vaccine)? Saw ogilvy won it. So curious if there’s any special about working on something that was on EUA and so relevant to the times
To the folks that don’t want to get the vaccine, what is your reason? This seems like a strange hill to die on considering people losing their livelihood over this
No data no problem. Coronavirus will vanish. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/07/16/us-coronavirus-data-has-already-disappeared-after-trump-administration-shifted-control-from-cdc-to-hhs.html
I’ve been in the industry for about 20 years, hundreds of pitches, dozens of speaking events at big shows. I used to be a natural when presenting. Fluid, clever and insightful while keeping it friendly and conversational. Since covid and WFH my presentation focus is totally off. Low energy, nervous, dry mouth, reading off slides, hard to keep my mind in the bigger picture or focus on the story. Womp womp. Really getting me down and not sure how to get the magic back. Depressing.
What’s everyone’s long term outlook with living in the city? Lease finishes end of July and thinking of moving back closer to fam. Feel like COVID has flipped consulting and living in the city permanently with the move to wfh
Anyone having some PTSD issues during Covid?
Does anyone else feel unfulfilled in their job, but you’ve decided to stick it out because of the COVID market?
Someone tested positive for COVID-19 in my office today. They’re only shutting the office down for one afternoon for “deep cleaning” and not requiring any self isolation. Is this normal? Has anyone had a similar experience?

Mid life crisis maybe? I recently sold my house (mid renovation, was just sick of it) so now I am renting. I don't like my city, I am just here for the job. I don't really like that either, I had the job to pay for my house. I had a house because I had a lot of stuff. I have learned due to covid I can live happily out of my van/camper. I have no plan for kids and have decided I am happiest solo. Wtf do I do now? Feeling very aimless. Like I could probably coast-retire n live on $20k/yr.
Did many firms give raises during covid or have firm addressed upcoming raises/bonuses that may have been forgone? Trying to get a general consensus
If you could retire in an international location, where would it be? I think I'd go somewhere in Central America
Just saw a social media post by a CCCO that makes it sound like he’s suffering through this new WFH routine. Jesus. Get some perspective. And what is so tough about WFH? So old fashioned.
Did anyone choose to be child free because of medical or mental health issues? I have struggled with chronic migraines and depression my entire adult life. I think bringing kids into my life where I am sometimes unable to function properly would be cruel.
Hello guys, Recently i was interviewed for the 2nd technical round of nagarro in android, i answered almost all questions and was very much sure that it will be cleared. But unfortunately the interviewer rejected me, because of lack of skills in unit testing. Is it fair?
Want to apply to MBB, not sure what the possibilities are: 2 YOE, ServiceNow / ITxM, Engagement Management, 4.0 GPA from Top 50 state school - do I stand any chance? Where could I fit in (technology / practice)? Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company McKinsey & Company Thanks!
I am a Manager in Salesforce practice at D and I have 15 YOE and 5 years in Salesforce and at 145k base at D. Is it reasonable to expect a Senior Manager or Director role at pwc or accenture or other top consulting firms with a 30% hike? I took my current role at D at the start of the pandemic and got myself a bad bargain which is why I am looking to move.
Multiple vacancies for CA/CPA/ACCA (0 to 15 years experience) in EY GDS across all locations. If interested share resume at Manalrehtal1986@gmail.com
Before you ask, the answer is YES, fighting is a part of the interview at Deloitte. We have successfully replaced case interviews w/ cage matches. Last person standing gets an offer. Any questions?
Is anyone’s supervisor giving them a harder time since its work from home. My supervisor is expecting us to turn in more work than ever before.
How do you set personal boundaries? One of my colleague is new to the team, so I understand she may be struggling at times to get up to speed. But she is constantly asking me to get on Zoom after work hours (8-9 pm) to walk her through stuff. Even when I told her I’m out busy, she would keep asking when would I get home so I can jump on a meeting with her.
When I leave accenture, what do I do with my 401k? (Been here over 2 years so I am 100% vested) and what other implications are there for leaving ?
Onsite interview: tech round, Case round & managing partner core consulting round. Which one has most influencing decision making effect?
Thinking about “jumping firms” sometime soon. I’m a Senior Consultant, and truly, I’m just chasing money (and maybe work life balance). So, I’m curious; which firms are the best with regards to transfer pay, company culture, wellbeing, etc? Are there any firms I should avoid?
