I selected new tax regime in the company 'xyz' portal for April 2021-March 2022. I left this company in jan 2022 and tax of 16k got deducted from F&F settlement.

I have investment in EPF and submitted the rent receipts to the company for tax exception for HRA. But in F&F, based on new regime tax deducted.

During filing ITR for assessment year 2022-2023, can I file by selecting old regime and get this 16k return?

I have offere from Birlasoft, CGI and Globallogic which company should I choose. (experience so far carried 1.2)

Has anyone left ID, then gone back and then left again? I left ID a year ago to do L&E. I enjoy this area of law a lot, but my firm is mega toxic and there's 0 chance of growth here. I have the opportunity to work with an incredible partner/mentor I worked with when I did ID, but at a different ID firm. I will be given resources and assistance to develop whatever practice area of law I want and the firm wants to expand to employment law. Is this worth the risk of getting stuck in ID again?

For those of you who are in-house, how did you get comfortable with needing to be more of a generalist? I know some in-house roles, especially at large companies, are specialized. However, even then it just seems like you’re expected to know about so many different areas (with far less support than at a firm).
