No company anywhere truly cares about the people who work for them, they only care about making money. So I suspect this is in no way personal to you. Don’t doubt yourself, and keep applying to new jobs. Maybe the next company won’t be as flagrant about showing their true motives.

Tell us more, and please continue to hang in there while applying for jobs like nobody’s business. What did you find out about your agency? And how are you framing every project/meeting to yourself (and why)? Best of luck, we’re here for you

Hey, don’t be so hard on yourself. Assess how depressed you are first; your current vibe will be sensed in interviews and will make it hard to get a job. Look into therapists or support groups. Talk with your family to unload - that’s their job. Spruce up your resume once you feel better. Remove the word failure from your mind. Find your strength - to improve your life you must find the strength to pivot and change.

1) If you are supporting your family and being there for them there is no way you can be a failure. 2) almost no company cares about the future of their employees. That is something I learned by working in all kind of agencies - the purpose of most agencies is to make money for their owners. That’s it. I know your situation because I am going through something similar. Stay strong. There has to be a way out

I put on a happy face for them. I work hard, hoping a new gig will save me from this self confidence death spiral. I don’t know how much longer I can hang on.

Why are YOU a failure because they don’t care about you? Take is as a lesson and start treating these companies and people as such.

Can someone explain the difference between FB’s Partner Solutions Manager and the Strategic Partner Manager? From an initial recruiter call, it seems the SPM provides the consultative product recs while the PSM onboards the client onto that product and tracks performance to provide actionable recs as needed. Anyone know career growth and salary for these two? I don’t want a sales heavy/only lateral growth role like their client solutions manager roles so these seem like good compromises?

I'm going through a layoff at my job. I was a programmer many years ago and have gradually moved to a Project Management role over the years. I don't really like that kind of work and see an opportunity here to reskill a bit. What are thoughts on microdegrees or certificates from the like of Coursera? I have good tech acumen, just wondering if someone would hire in the area of Data Science with one of these degrees. For info: 40s, 20+ years experience, and BBA in Computer Info Systems.
