Deutsche Bank is predicting a “major recession” in late 2023 to early 2024. What (if anything) are you doing to prepare? I’m hesitant to move any assets around right now given the markets downturn. Maybe change investments going forward over?

Thoughts?

Deutsche Bank…now that’s a laugh riot.

🤷‍♂️ anything I would sell now would be at a loss and not sure what I would move it to. can’t afford real estate. fortunately I don’t expect to need it for another 10 years so I’m just going to wait it out. Stock up some cash in the meantime and dump it in when there’s a number I’m happy with.

Ah right. Because banks haven't predicted 10 of the last 3 crashes.

If it does I'll continue to invest at a discount. Not retiring for a few decades so I'm not scared.

I’m doing the same thing I do with most DB recommendations - never look at them

If you are living below your means I wouldn’t stress. Make sure you can handle a few months of job loss or a pay cut (~20%).

like

DB? Wow, act on that as fast as you can.

What am I doing? Not listening to Deutsche Bank.

I selected new tax regime in the company 'xyz' portal for April 2021-March 2022. I left this company in jan 2022 and tax of 16k got deducted from F&F settlement.

I have investment in EPF and submitted the rent receipts to the company for tax exception for HRA. But in F&F, based on new regime tax deducted.

During filing ITR for assessment year 2022-2023, can I file by selecting old regime and get this 16k return?

Any advice appreciated. I make 56k now, looking to be around 60

Hello people,

Need some inputs!

When I file my ITR, it is auto-populating the 'income from other sources' by 40k and increasing my tax liability by 10k however form 26as shows no tax liability.

Should I edit the header to Rs. Xx which is below 10k hence tax exempted and stick to info as per 26AS?

Thanks a lot!

Why firm is “begging” for employees? I mean firm is now paying more and adding more benefits to show what can employee get and try to keep or attract them. Scores consider the number of accounts that are paid as agreed. Your score was impacted because the number of these accounts is too low, or because you've missed payments recently on some of your accounts.

I’m planning to build out a set of wealth management tools and would love to get some feedback. When planning for retirement, how would you prioritize the following (and is there anything else you’d consider)
1) early retirement - minimizing the age required to get just enough wealth/ savings to retire (I.e., your target wealth at death is zero)
2) inheritance - maximizing the value of your wealth at the time of your deaths
