Depends on how much you're making pre-MBA and why you'd like to get an MBA. Definitely recommend actually knowing that prior to applying and not doing it just because; the return on investment doesn't always look great.
Kind off. So just before getting an MBA I had an offer, doing stuff I hate, for 150. In a good year with bonus it would have been 160. I suspect that by now that would have grown to 185, but the work would still suck, and I would likely be maxed out in my career. 7 years later, with bonus I made about 187, doing work I like (don't love), with a legit shot at making partner in another seven years. The financial payoff isn't there for me yet, but otherwise, definitely.
Mba managers at PwC make 162k, non-mba make 132k
The calculus varies tremendously based on your personal situation. The post MBA exit numbers are well known on Glassdoor and actually higher than what PwC2 is quoting. But your preMBA number can vary tremendously and your opportunity cost is vastly different if you do part time vs full time. If you are sub 100k preMBA it is pretty much a no brainer.
Based on pre MBA salary and my salary right out of business school, ROI is about 3 years. There's that business school lesson in use😆
Good luck S1. You seem to have landed your career
^ wow 30k difference is a lot.
Doesn't a master program help? Apart from MBA considering how expensive B schools aree
I was at $100k pre-MBA and 2 years later after a full time program I'm at 140k base
Pwc1 - those numbers are accurate for M1s . Keep in mind that MBA and non-MBA pay converge at D1. I would use glassdoor with a grain of salt as it does not account for the cohort model
P2 the issue is you are quoting numbers for PwC instead of strategy&. It is on the lower end of what you get post MBA.
P2 - mgr start at 124k (non NYC)
Non MBA & non NYC ^
An MBA will definitely raise my salary. A LOT.
Also think about career salary not just one firm. MBA is the way to go.
How much would a graduate from M7 school with 4 years of experience earn at your firm?
My pay has increased about 70k in 3 years since getting my exec mba.
More than that...i now have options outside of my field.
So if i say f it...I'm done w consulting and the area i have worked in for the last 10 years. I now have a lot of options.
Also...i can leave consulting and still make 250-300k in a non consulting role pretty easily.
Impressive S1!!! Could u share about which field you are from?
Cyber security
Job offers inside and outside of cyber are pretty good these days. Granted im happy where i am at today
