I have trouble falling asleep at night and struggle with getting up in the am. I could fall asleep anywhere anytime no problem and now the struggle is real

This has been happening to me for weeks now even though I've not changed anything, but I'm 33. I really needed the extra sleep this weekend, but my body/brain just wouldn't cooperate.
I’ve been waking up at 4 am for the past two weeks. I force myself to go back to sleep eventually but it’s definitely hard. not sure if it’s correlated to age, I’m 29. Maybe it’s just everything that’s going on is taking a toll on your body? stress does that
I’m 25 and I went from waking up at 7 am every day pre-pandemic to staying up late and waking up at 10 or 11. I’ve also always had a hard time with going back to sleep once I’m up. Maybe there’s some other factor? Do you have a pretty regular sleep routine?
Slightly unrelated but I got covid a while back, which made it difficult to sleep so I started taking 2.5 mg of melatonin every night. My doctor said it’s too little to have an actual effect but I’m pretty sure it makes me sleep in later and have deeper sleep throughout the night. Might be worth looking into!
24F, same issue. I got a sleep mask and it helped some. I throw it on when I wake up at 5/7 am and go back to sleep.

Blackout curtains.
Limit screen time before bed- read instead.
Go to bed earlier to get your desired # of hours.
Otherwise, embrace the mornings. I get up, exercise, get ready for the day and get a chunk of work done before my team is online.
Go to an acupuncturist and get yourself back in balance
