Did anyone else graduate law school and pass the bar right as pandemic started? Are you still unemployed? I have been applying since February 2020 and am trying not to give up because I am an amazing attorney and just need a chance to prove how great I am. But have few prospects when they eventually come around.
Any advice? Help?

Got it. Maybe post in the Law bowl as well. Easier to jump to New York big law once you’re employed as an attorney somewhere.

I took Feb 2020 bar in WA and passed then moved to NYC and had to job search in a whole new market. Took more than 6 months but basically I lucked out when a friend referred me to their data privacy / cyber group which was desperate for associates and she personally vouched for me. It’s really all about who you know.

OP have you been employed anywhere since graduating?

Legal researching for a company. But it only requires the JD, not a license. I’m trying to get into healthcare law in NY, or any facet of it.

Also have criminal defense externship experience, federal level

So embarrassed. I literally had one job to do today which was to schedule a client and give and take her paperwork when she came in. Totally called her by the wrong name today AND gave her the wrong paperwork. She was really nice about it but I feel like my boss was disappointed and I'm disappointed in myself. I don't want her to think I won't be able to keep clients straight when I start doing supervised sessions.
