^crying? Looks like pwc partners made some good calls
Wouldn't sleeping with the CFO secure the offer?
I honestly am just guessing but I'd say at least 75% but a few of the interns that I took under my wing were saying they saw multiple interns coming out of their Partner meetings crying cause they didn't get a full time offer. I know in audit and tax it's like 95%- pretty sure you have to like sleep with the CFO or commit fraud to not get a full time offer in those
We recommended to our partner that the intern NOT get an offer... Partner gave the intern an offer anyway.
I heard it was 65/35. What is it usually?
Rough year across the consulting space, especially in financial services...
In theory the partners should be on the hook if there's not enough work to go around for the interns/new hires. But I bet what will happen is the partners will use the low offer rate as a sense of pride: "We only extended offers to 60% of interns, while Deloitte gives out offers to 99%." Trying to seem more exclusive. It's a little frustrating but also you kind of know what your getting into. Sincerely, good luck, interns! It really is a great firm if you can navigate the politics
Our intern was good but the standard is high. The partner didn't give her an offer b/c he felt other interns were more focused/driven.
There was indeed a very high standard this year. A lot of interns did not get offers.
Less than usual. Especially for undergrads
They have pushed back start dates for some new hires to October.
Rough year in Advisory led to not as many openings as interns that were recommended for offers. Generally very high offer % (90+) is what I have heard.
Clarification: in MC
Heard from a partner that some major cuts were made for interns
Was this the case at other B4?
As someone who interned last summer in FS makes me wonder if I would've gotten one this year. Not sure how to feel haha
My groups offer rate was 60%
