My boss has told me that there is a clerkship opening with a federal judge that I admire, and with his rec I would be a shoe-in. I'm the hiring mgr for designers in my org. I recently discovered pay band information given to me by the HR generalist I'm working with on hiring was outdated and updated bands had been released over the summer (prior to my hire date). The outdated information had led me to believe a prime candidate was out of range. Aside from incompetence, can anyone think of a reason why HR might have withheld information about the pay bands? I assume mgrs see the full monty when it comes to pay...right?

Looking for some advice. I am currently going through a work based green card sponsorship. The company kicked off the process in January this year. EVL was submitted in June and still no response. I believe once the EVL is approved they will initiate the PERM process. Does anybody know how much more is left in the process until I get the green card? I believe from what I’ve heard I may have to wait for another 12-18 months. Can anyone confirm?

Can current employer use prior employer approved i140 for requesting multiple H1B extensions or do they need to have a new approved i140 for requesting another extension?

US immigration question. Green card interview date was cancelled in March 2020. It’s been a whole year of just waiting for a reschedule date, so the I-485 is transferable (e.g. to another state, another employer). Has anyone transferred their i-485 to another employer? What was that process like? Would my process start from the interview phase? How did you prove that the next job was in the same category?
