Curious if anyone knows what a first-year associate at Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management will make post-MBA? Would be on the private wealth advisor track coming from an M7. My understanding was that base salary is the same as IB, but the bonus will be significantly less.
Any other details like signing bonus, stub bonus, etc. is helpful too.
What do you ladies think about the Women Fast Forward campaigns and their focus on elite female athletes? I workout and play sports but can't relate to elite athletes and feel like we have such a diverse group of women at EY, I don't get why athleticism is so dominant in the campaign

Enrollment numbers are at an all-time low and expected to be even lower next year. Guess who will be the first to go? Elective teachers like me. But what about the funding we're supposed to be getting from the fed? Electives are never considered a priority.

Just expressing my frustration at the fact that the two other attorneys on my team are in their 50s/60s and refuse to put our terms at a URL when that is what every software company on the planet does in 2022. (It's just them and me, a lawyer in her 20s.)
For those of you who left a firm and went in-house. How long did it take you to land a position after you started looking for in house roles?
How long do companies usually take to respond after the interview with the hiring manager for the loop interview? Just curious. I’ve interviewed at multiple companies and 1+ week later it’s radio silence. Thanks for the advice.
Just started working in-house within the last couple of months. First real attorney gig after doing compliance. The GC was terminated and I had to fill in the role as GC (even though that’s not what I’m called). My company says they don’t need a GC. Talked to my boss today and they want to hire another to take things off my plate since I am the only attorney. They plan to rewrite my job position to do more risk and compliance. Am I wrong for feeling like I should have been included in the convo?
In house counsel: I’m a senior associate in a litigation boutique with significant “first chair” experience (50+ depositions, 50+ dispositive motions, first and second chair trial experience, briefed and argued cases before court of appeals and state supreme courts, etc.) I’m looking to move in-house but struggle to get past the initial resume screen. Is my firm name holding me back? Would I be well positioned to move to a bigger name firm before trying to move in-house?

I’m currently 8 months in doing M&A in big law and I’m miserable. Prior to this role, I did litigation for a year and a half. I think in house would be a better fit for me and I’m starting to apply to those types of roles. Any advice on the job search or insight into life in house?
Contriversal topic but here it goes: I’m in-house a F100 and happen to be a white male (although I do have a fairly severe “invisible” disability). Progression to a management level attorney is quite difficult despite the relatively large. Recently the company announced DEI initiative that includes targets and goals for women and people of color (not applicable to other minorities). I absolutely want more diversity in our law department - I’ve taken steps to help ensure that there is - but…
