Did a home test a couple of times. It sucked because I mouth breathe and the stupid thing couldn't detect my breathing because the system uses a freaking microphone vs an actual air velocity sensor. Then did the in lab test. All they could tell me is that I don't have apnea and they can't tell me why I'm having the sleep issues I'm having. Hope you have a better experience.
Aww sorry to hear it dint workout for you.
A family member of mine has severe snoring problem, i started looking up things but felt lost. Hence i posted here. Will keep you posted if we end up getting it resolved.
I did a take home snore test. It was covered as my PCP referred me for the test. Was great, easy, and got results fast
Mind sharing details?
Did the at home one and it’s easy
My ENt prescribed it and they send a matching to your hiuse that I think I put on my wrist . Just sleep with it
Both my ex and my son had this done. Both have sleep apnea and both now wear a mask to sleep. Definitely worth it because sleep apnea can be life threatening (it substantially increases your chances of having a stroke).
They went to a clinic and spent the night.
My boyfriend did a sleep study at a sleep center and all they determined is he doesn’t have sleep apnea. His snoring is horrific however. So it was pretty unhelpful. He also saw an ENT who recommended surgical procedures to alleviate snoring - it has helped somewhat but not enough.
With sleep apnea you would generally be able to hear them stop breathing and then wake up seeking air. They would be waking up and have very poor sleep quality, feeling tired all the time. It can make sense to get checked for sleep apnea but it’s definitely not always the issue. My bf had a deviated septum which they fixed, but snoring is also an issue with soft palate tissue, weight carried around the neck and chest, etc. Sleeping on your back also contributes.
