Did anyone make the switch from one b4 to another? Did you successfully transition/assimilate into the new b4? To those that did, do you recommend it? Any downside?

What's the typical raise % progression for senior managers in big 4? (preferably for tax but all services lines are welcome to chime in!).

for example:

Senior manager 1 > 2 = 9% ?
Senior manager 2 > 3 = 12% ?

Etc...

Tips for IBD Associate interviews for sector groups I have little experience in? I have B4 CF and M&A Strategy (CDD, etc) experience, so I can handle the technicals, but I am wondering what I should do to make up for lack of sector experience. I hate working retail during the snowy season. Everyone keeps sniffling around me and it's all I hear all day.

Just finished my first week in BL (I clerked the year before) and the imposter syndrome is unreal. I am paranoid, can’t tell if people are toxic or trustworthy, can’t tell if everything is fine or if I’m about to fail horribly and they will just watch it happen and not care. I’m so paranoid right now. How do you find people you trust? How do you trust that everything is okay if there’s no indication things are not??

Anybody know any good books/sources on couples finance or balancing financial mentalities? I have a personal finance mentality or character that is save as much as possible, spend as little on myself as possible, spend mainly on things that could appreciate in value. Whereas my gf is all about treating oneself, and living very comfortably, even if it is not sustainable. It doesn't help as well that I make 3-4x what she makes. Its hard to balance these two mentalities
