Hi folks, It's been 22 days since I joined birlasoft. But still I have not been mapped to any project and in induction I have been told this hiring is done based on an already existing requirement. Is it common to not get mapped after these many days of joining? Please share your experience!!! Birlasoft

Not related to being on the bench, but gave 2 weeks notice, and the firm made that my last day and paid me for the two weeks.
D1 - is the firm obligated to pay you for 2 weeks or was that just a goodwill? I don’t see anything on my employment contract
Hasn’t happened to me but I have heard of it happening. I actually put in a one week notice just to be safe
Everybody is right so far.
- It happens.
- What D1 said also happens. It doesn’t help the firm on the long run if they walk everybody out immediately... people would stop putting in notice.
- Does your new gig start in exactly 2 weeks? If not, no rush.
Accenture is an at will employer, which also means the 2 week notice technically isn’t required — it’s just a courtesy. And if you’re currently on a project and like your team, you’d preferably give them more than 2 weeks notice
Why wouldn’t you just want the two weeks of paid downtime before going into a new role?
Put in notice in hopes I’d be asked to leave immediately but alas helped onboard onto the project and then been chilling on the bench 🤷♀️
I got walked out of d immediately. Was leaving for competitor (obliviously) but didn’t tell anyone.
