Can anyone use a senior level HR professional, with a Doctorate in business focused in HR, SPHR certification, federal and commercial experience, and just a real sharp shooter? I’m having a hard time placing a rockstar candidate!

I’m a nurse of 9 years looking to break into health informatics. I’ve held roles at the bedside, nurse leadership, and quality improvement. I have a MHA with a specialization in Informatics but the program didn’t have a practicum. I can’t sit for my Nursing Informatics certification because I don’t have hands on hours. I’ve applied to informatics jobs but no luck. Any advice on how to get an informatics position or at least hands on experience?

How someone can move to management from technical job without doing mba?

I'm going into a post-MBA Strategy Consulting (Internal) role, and I've never done fancy excel modeling before in life. I'd highly appreciate it if anyone could point me to good resources to learn this - be it a book, online courses, or anything else you think may be useful.

We have a senior specialist and a general specialist both make more than I do. They have been employed longer with the company. What is your advice on this issue?

I recently interviewed at PwC US (Tier 1) and got an offer for a $92K base salary + a $15K signing bonus. I'm an international hire with a bachelor's and an ACA & ACCA certification both to be completed in the next 2-3 months + 4 YOE. I accepted the offer but later it felt like I got a low offer so I asked the recruiter to reconsider my base salary, if possible. So the recruiter agreed and will be coming back this week with a revised offer. I'm not sure how much I can negotiate after accepting.

I am an Engg. (2004-2008) then went for MBA from UPES, Dehradun in Oil and Gas (2012-2014 : Regrettable decision). No connection though with O&G industry. Approx 10 years of work exp. Thinking of pursuing ISB MBA for a career jump. Present CTC 12.75. Any suggestions on which course shall I go for or any other alternatives. I can go for regular MBA too. How do you guys feel about pets in the office? Personally they are very annoying and inconsiderate. I have a manager who brings Tinstletoe in every day and Tinstletoe (who names their dog a seasonal name?? Or wtf is that name even?) isn't even potty trained, but it's always "easy to wipe up". I have found some messes in the kitchen and have been the one to "wipe up" before. It happens maybe once a month type frequency. She's sort of a tyrant of a person in the office so no one really wants to talk to her about it, but then Tinstletoe runs the show. We have another person in the office who has a really well behaved dog, and everyone loves that one and would be "devastated" to lose her, but then we're stuck with TT because no one has the heart, or the backbone to get rid of these animals. (in the office I mean...)
