I have a reinforcement ML algorithm that reads historical data for a stock and tries to make a prediction on its future price. The training data is 20 years of daily indicators and the evaluation is 1 year while the testing data is also 1 year. My problem is that it takes the algorithm almost 12 hrs to make one full run through a training session on my MacBook. I also tried with google colab pro using their gpus and tpus but they’re only slightly faster. Is there any way to speed this up?

I applied to a position I was really interested in. After a week, I decided to be bold for the first time and actually contact the recruiter for the company to follow up on LinkedIn. I’ve never done that before so I thought I would try it since I was so interested. They said they will let the recruiter hiring for the position know about my interest! . How do I handle a situation where a supervisor questions comes off as she sees me as stupid and is belittling me? In the beginning of week, I was scheduled spilt between her client and another, and she felt I was responsible to tell her. We all have access to the schedule. When on this other client, she wanted to do call. I responded I was at a client, and she was upset and believed I should respond her questions concerning her job. Has anyone else been so stressed from a deadline that the couldn’t eat or sleep? I’ve averaged probably 3 hours of sleep the past week (and most are 0). Then I get to around midnight and realize I haven’t had anything to eat, but I’m not hungry. This is my first true in-charge assignment, and there’s been little communication from above. And I just got a mini-lecture on how it’s my fault we’re behind. So hearing that after not eating or sleeping is about to send me into a full-blown breakdown

I know my client needs an Accounting Manager. I know this because they’re startup med device company that has their books in complete shambles. The current accounting team isn’t very strong.
