You are like me, a bit of an over thinker :) I really think it’s okay. That stuff happens every now and then and if anything (if you’re feeling really guilty) just talk to her about it. Apologize for the weirdness—People are really forgiving especially if you explain a little bit of where you were coming from. Every time I have had an off experience with a coworker I try to get ahead of it and call myself out before they get the chance to.

Thank you :) I think I’ll just send a note next week and clarify. I feel I’m overthinking it as well.
I don’t quite follow your post, but is it a big error? Or a typo? If the latter, I doubt anyone cares. People don’t read half of their emails. Neither you nor her should stress about it.

Some of her numbers were incorrect, but they didn’t factor into the calculation itself so it was fine. But it was an email we save down in our files for reference and also going to the head of the company so it wasn’t exactly a smaller error but one she definitely should fix. She updated it when she sent out the final draft and I had brought it up.

I said ‘ok, I’m about to reply to you via email but just wanted to see if you’re planning to send an updated copy.’ She said she would update it in the final draft but not in this email. I replied to her email to the smaller group email chain (our two teams) and pointed out the mistake via email, but I’m afraid I might have stepped on my coworker’s toes. Did I? It was over a week, so I’m not sure if bringing it up with her will make things awkward.

She kept telling me she hoped no one would notice, but it was awkward because my boss already knew about it so I had to point it out. I just wish I told her.

Yes, she already caught another typo she made and sent a correction so she didn’t want to send another.
If it was just a typo I don't really get why an updated draft was needed just for that if it wasn't the final draft?

My boss wanted me to reply all, she was aware of it. And I just talked to the mentioned person and they were fine.
